Congratulations to Jet Wheel Tyre’s very own Billy Metson, who has been recognised as the 2024 Pirelli Performance Centre Tyre Technician of the Year.

Following his nomination, Billy completed an online questionnaire to assess his grasp on tyre knowledge and workshop safety and took part in a virtual interview to secure his spot in the award's top three. From here, he travelled to Pirelli’s Performance Centre in Burton upon Trent for tests, which included:
•    Car check (fault finding report)
•    Pirelli product features and benefits
•    Pirelli Performance Centre fault/error finding video
•    Practical (individual fault finding and diagnosis)

Billy’s performance was exceptional, earning him the highest number of points among the group. His skills earned him a three-day trip to Milan courtesy of Pirelli. In the iconic Italian city, Billy will enjoy the views, the culture, the food, and even an Inter Milan league game, with everything being paid for by the tyre manufacturer.
